Liberal Institutionalism: An Alternative IR Idea or maybe just Maintaining the Position Quo?

The development of liberal internationalism and institutionalism instead of realism in worldwide interaction (IR) theory keeps led to heated argument ever since the 1970’s in regards to the quality of liberal institutionalism as a genuine replacement for reality. Liberal institutionalism contends that focus needs to be put on international governance and international companies as a way of describing international relations. Institutionalism places emphasis on the role that common targets play within the international system therefore the strength of international organizations for states to work. (more…)
